Epidemic Sound launches MCP connector in Claude's directory

Customers can now search Epidemic Sound's full catalog, preview and download tracks, and create recuts, loops, and stems directly inside Claude, using their existing subscription.

Stockholm, Sweden, August 31, 2026 – Epidemic Sound, the world's leading soundtracking platform powering over 3.5 billion daily video views across TikTok and YouTube, today announced that its MCP connector is live in Claude's connector directory. Users of Anthropic's Claude can now connect to Epidemic Sound in one click and work with the full catalog of over 300,000 tracks and sound effects without leaving the chat.

Soundtracking inside the conversation

The way content is created has changed. Creators and businesses no longer just want to search; they want to create, iterate, and publish seamlessly and safely across platforms. Epidemic Sound supports that entire workflow, not just one part of it, while ensuring they remain in control throughout the process. With the Claude connector, users can describe what they need in their own words, whether that is a brief, a mood, a BPM, a genre, a key, an instrument, a reference track, or any other prompt, and Claude searches the catalog and returns matches.

From there, tracks can be previewed and downloaded through a direct link, and versions can be created on demand: adapted to any length, looped, or restructured to match your video's pacing. The connector works for anyone with an existing Epidemic Sound subscription.

Because Epidemic Sound owns 100% of the rights to its music, everything produced through the connector can be published anywhere online without licensing complexity, complications, or takedowns.

Meeting creators where the work happens

The connector is the latest step in Epidemic Sound's work to make its catalog available for active users inside the tools people already use, following integrations delivered through the Epidemic Sound API across editing, publishing, and streaming workflows. AI assistants are becoming a place where creative work is planned and produced, and the connector puts a fully licensed catalog directly into that environment.

Matt Sage, Interim Chief Product Officer at Epidemic Sound, commented: "Creative work is increasingly happening inside AI assistants, and music has to be there too. A 100% IP-owned catalog delivered through an MCP connector means a user can go from a brief to a finished, cleared track in the same conversation, and publish it anywhere with confidence. Our connector to Claude is a significant step in our ability to help our customers work seamlessly in their preferred tool while at the same time being covered by our licence and the strength our catalog offers".
