Acclaimed DJ and producer Saoirse remixes King Sis for Epidemic Sound’s 'Extra Version' program

Stockholm, Sweden, September 26, 2025 – Epidemic Sound, the leading music platform for content creators, today announced that acclaimed DJ and producer Saoirse has remixed King Sis’ “Luxe” for its Extra Version program. The collaboration brings Saoirse's signature deep, dance-floor-ready sound to the platform, offering creators an exclusive new track to elevate their content.

The Extra Version program is an initiative by Epidemic Sound to invite globally recognized artists to remix, reinterpret, and reimagine tracks from the company’s extensive catalog. This partnership with Saoirse is the latest in a series of high-profile collaborations designed to expand the creative potential for Epidemic Sound’s community of creators.

The Extra Version program was launched to spotlight global musical talent, breathe new life into standout tracks from Epidemic Sound’s catalog, and provide creators and brands with exclusive, world-class music. Following the success of previous Extra Version releases - including Switch’s gritty club-ready flip of “Kali Kush”, Honey Dijon’s globally resonant remix of “Umbélé” (which has already racked up over 350 million plays across YouTube and TikTok and received airplay on BBC Radio 1’s Club Mix) as well as South Korean artist jeonghyeon’s remix of “Let’s Talk About Your Ex”.

Known for her compelling sets that blend house, garage, and techno, Saoirse has become a standout figure in the global electronic music scene. As an acclaimed DJ, producer, and co-founder of the Body Movements festival in London, Saoirse is one of the most in-demand artists in the underground scene. Fresh off sets at Berghain, Houghton, and Circoloco, she delivers intricate percussion and shimmering synths in her reimagination of King Sis’s “Luxe”, a remix that is both expansive and intimate.

"I’m really excited to be part of the Epidemic Sound 'Extra Version' series," said Saoirse. "It’s a cool concept to be able to take a track and totally flip it on its head. I had a lot of fun on this one, and I hope it can find a new home in the world of online creators."

“We are thrilled to get Saoirse on board for the Extra Version program.”, said John Cleary, Director of Artist Partnerships and Special Projects. "Her remix of King Sis’ 'Luxe' is a testament to her hypnotic sound and vision. She's transformed a perfect track into an undeniable club hit, and we couldn't be more excited to give this to our creators. It's a great example of how artists can collaborate to unlock new creative avenues."

King Sis has an outstanding track record of 12.5 billion YouTube views, 4.8 billion TikTok views (videos using her audio) and she has 180.000 monthly listeners on Spotify. She was a Tidal Rising artist in 2023  and performed on NPR’s Tiny Desk for Clipse in 2025. In 2024 she also performed on NPR’s Tiny Desk with Kelela.

"Luxe is a song about appreciating the finer things in life with Afrobeat influences and a smooth saxophone solo”, says King Sis. “I wrote this song as the focus track for the d’LUXE version of my first album, and Saoire’s brilliance gave it new life with a driving kick and the energy of a packed festival."

With over 3 billion daily views of content featuring Epidemic Sound music on YouTube and TikTok, the Extra Version program continues to redefine music collaboration in the creator economy - with more artist collaborations to be announced throughout the year.

About Saoirse

A trailblazing Irish DJ, producer, and label head, Saoirse has become a powerhouse in electronic music, known for her dedication to artistry and community. After moving to London, she quickly rose to prominence, securing a job at Resident Advisor and becoming a resident at Rinse FM and BBC Radio 1. During the pandemic, she expanded her creative reach by launching her own imprint, trUst Recordings, and co-founded Body Movements, London's first large-scale queer electronic music festival, celebrating queer artists and audiences.

About King Sis

From singing in her grandfather's church in Alexandria, VA, at age seven, to winning first place at the legendary Amateur Night at the Apollo Theater in NYC, King Sis has built her career on a foundation of natural talent and a love for performance. Originally from the DMV area, she started playing classical piano at age eight, which quickly led to songwriting. Her interest in recording arts was sparked by voiceover work for BET commercials at age nine, and she later honed her skills as a world-touring background vocalist for prominent artists like Kelela. Now a solo artist, King Sis's music centers on themes of love, self-affirmation, and a return to the natural world in a modern, digitally-driven life.
