· The market-leading soundtrack innovation platform expands its localized offering to Italy, Portugal, and Brazil in global expansion push
· The announcement follows the company’s recent launch of its localized service in Mexico, Spain, France, and Germany and enables content creators - from YouTubers to the world's biggest brands - to easily elevate their content with music

Stockholm, Sweden Epidemic Sound, the market-leading soundtrack innovation platform, has recently launched its localized service in Italy, Portugal, and Brazil. The launch follows the company’s expansion of its localized service in Mexico, Spain, France, and Germany in 2022. With the global growth of Epidemic Sound’s service, the company enables content creators to elevate their content with music easily and effectively. Creators in these markets can now browse and use the Epidemic Sound player in their local language, pay in their local currency and price, and use local payment solutions.

The past few years have seen a surge in the number of individuals becoming content creators across the globe. More than 165 million creators joined the global creator community between 2020 and 2022, according to the Adobe Future of Creativity Study. The creator economy grew significantly in Spain (+10 million) and Brazil (+73 million). Meanwhile, Epidemic Sound’s Future of the Creator Economy Report 2023 shows that 42.6% of content creators began earning money from their creations just in the last year and 79.6% within the previous two years.

By localizing its service in new markets, Epidemic Sound caters to the demand from content creators to elevate their content with music and monetize their content. Aside from the seven markets the company has now expanded to, Epidemic Sound will offer localized services in more markets in the future.

Oscar Hoglund, CEO and co-founder of Epidemic Sound, said: “With the expansion of our localized offering to more markets, Epidemic Sound continues to fuel the global growth of the creator economy. Today, creators seek simplicity that solves their needs across their creative journey. By offering our service in the local language and currency, and by offering local payment options, Epidemic Sound caters to creators' needs - from inspiration and discovery to seamless purchase experiences.”

This product development is accelerating Epidemic Sound’s growth in new markets and supports both individual content creators, such as YouTubers and filmmakers, as well as global broadcasters and publishers, advertising agencies, and global brands.

“Music is essential for creating engaging content. We can add a rock or a violin track to an action scene, and both will work, but the feeling we want to create will be entirely different. That is the power of music,” said Caique Pereira, from the major YouTube channel Escola para YouTubers. “But finding the right track can require a lot of time and research. That is why being able to search for and find music in my native language and having the payment method in my local currency saves a lot of time and energy. As an ambassador for Epidemic Sound in Brazil, it’s fantastic that the service is now available to my audience in Portuguese.”
