Impact
We will grow with a low impact
As a digital platform, our climate footprint is predominantly in Scope 3, arising from our extensive value chain. We are dedicated to working with key stakeholders to develop and implement impactful strategies for reducing these indirect emissions.
Epidemic Sound joined the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) in 2023 and submitted and received approval of its near-term climate targets in 2025. This milestone confirms that Epidemic Sound’s climate ambitions are aligned with the latest climate science.
Approved near-term SBTi targets
In 2024, we conducted a comprehensive GHG inventory to pinpoint our most significant climate impacts throughout our value chain.
Our ambitious climate targets now encompass 85% of our total GHG emissions, using 2023 as our approved base year. The overwhelming majority of our emissions—specifically 84% of our total GHG emissions in 2023—stem from the procurement of goods and services. By focusing our efforts here, we can make the most substantial progress on our journey to decarbonize.
Epidemic Sound is committed to:
- Reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 (market-based) GHG emissions by 52% by 2030, from a 2023 base year.
- Ensure that 80% of our suppliers by emissions (covering purchased goods and services) have science-based targets by 2028.
