Epidemic Sound updates AI-powered Studio to further streamline soundtracking

  • Studio saves video production time for content creators and brands, seamlessly syncing human-made music and sound to videos in moments
  • The updates offer increased creative control and enhanced audio suggestion quality, while ensuring artists are compensated and distributed through content
  • Studio's development continues to exemplify Epidemic Sound's belief that AI should empower, not replace human creativity

Stockholm, Sweden, April 7, 2026 – Epidemic Sound, the world's leading soundtracking platform powering over 3 billion video views daily across TikTok and YouTube, today launched an updated version of Studio, its AI-powered soundtracking flow that analyzes a video's content to curate a cohesive soundtrack in moments. Studio combines music from Epidemic Sound’s world-class artists with Hollywood-grade ambient noises to establish background atmosphere, and foley sound effects to heighten actions such as breaking glass.

Studio now provides enhanced creative control, user experience, and audio quality: users can adjust and fade the volume of audio files, download fully soundtracked videos or soundscapes as one file, and enjoy vastly improved audio suggestion quality and relevance. This is due to the added ability to provide free text contextual detail, as well as developments to Epidemic Sound's proprietary model that better understands the vibe of the chosen video, selects more contextually relevant sounds, and syncs them more seamlessly to the action.

Matt Sage, Epidemic Sound Interim Chief Product Officer, commented: "Every improvement to the quality and relevance of Studio's output serves to save time in the production process for creators and brands, and today marks yet another jump. Studio continues to radically transform the soundtracking process, enabling full, tailored soundscapes of music and sound effects to be curated in moments, not hours. For creators everywhere this is a game changer, but we're just scratching the surface here. In the coming months, we'll be integrating more of our soundtracking tools into the Studio workflow to realize our vision of next-generation soundtracking."

Following initial availability in Epidemic Sound's explorative Labs environment – in which the company gathered extensive user feedback to continue refining the workflow – Studio has been launched within its own dedicated space on the Epidemic Sound platform. Studio continues to provide bulletproof licensing peace of mind as it is powered by music and sound from Epidemic Sound's roster of artists, who at the same time benefit from increased distribution and compensation through content.

The updates follow the integration of Studio within the company’s plugins for Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, as well as the development of other flagship soundtracking tools like its AI-powered creative collaborator Assistant and its music customization feature Adapt.
