EPIDEMIC SOUND LAUNCHES GLOBAL ARTIST SERIES THAT “re/works” MUSIC FOR THE CREATOR ERA

Stockholm, Sweden, February 13, 2026Epidemic Sound, the world’s leading soundtracking platform, today launches “re/works by Epidemic Sound,” a new global artist series spotlighting influential musicians from around the world, beginning with a flagship Swedish edition that draws on the country’s unparalleled heritage in music production. An ongoing international initiative, “re/works by Epidemic Sound” invites celebrated artists to reimagine tracks from the Epidemic Sound catalog, transforming them into culturally resonant works that live across streaming platforms, content, brands, and social media. Each edition will reflect the creative identity of a different music scene, with Sweden - long regarded as one of the world’s most important music exporters - setting the tone.

Sweden has shaped modern pop, electronic, and alternative music far beyond its borders. “re/works by Epidemic Sound” draws directly from that legacy, inviting nine of its most respected Swedish artists to select tracks from the catalog and transform them entirely.

The Swedish edition of “re/works by Epidemic Sound”, which will be followed by a UK launch in the fall, features a curated lineup of some of country’s most respected artists:

  • Kleerup
  • Silvana Imam
  • DJ Carpenter
  • Kerstin Ljungström
  • Adam Taal
  • Dan Lissvik
  • Jenny Wilson
  • Stella Explorer
  • Harrison First

Collectively, these artists have shaped not only the Swedish music scene but have also left a definitive global footprint. From Kleerup’s UK #1 hit “With Every Heartbeat” to Jenny Wilson’s iconic collaboration with The Knife on the era-defining “You Take My Breath Away,” this lineup represents the vanguard of one of the world’s most vibrant music markets. With hundreds of millions of streams and a cabinet of prestigious awards, these artists have defined genres and influenced the sound of modern storytelling.

At a time when music creation is being reshaped by technology and AI, re/works by Epidemic Sound keeps human creativity front and center, positioning artists as the driving force behind global cultural moments.

"This is all about the music,” said Oscar Höglund, CEO and Co-Founder of Epidemic Sound. “The quality of the artists involved and the originality of the reworks are what make it special. What re/works by Epidemic Sound does is connect that music to new audiences through the creators, brands, and platforms that have always been at the heart of what we do. Building on our Extra Version initiative, this is the next step in how Epidemic Sound helps great music travel further and become part of culture.”

The program represents a significant step in bridging the gap between trending music and the world’s leading content creators and brands, thanks to Epidemic Sound’s wholly-owned catalog and distribution power of 3 billion daily views on YouTube and TikTok.

"I’m impressed by the quality of Epidemic Sound's catalog. It’s been a great creative process reworking music by talents such as  bonsaye, Ten Towers and Ryan James Carr“, says Kerstin Ljungström. “Knowing the music will reach an entirely new audience of content creators globally is incredibly inspiring. This program recognizes the true value of a rework - building cultural moments that spread quickly. It feels important to be part of an initiative that puts the Swedish music scene in focus."

Following the successful launches of initiatives like “Extra Version” and “The Bridge,” Epidemic Sound continues to invest in its catalog of over 50,000 tracks to provide brands and creators with world-class music. The “Extra Version” program, which featured legendary DJs like Honey Dijon remixing tracks from the Epidemic Sound catalog, garnered more than a billion views across YouTube and TikTok within the first six months. Meanwhile, “The Bridge,” the company's mentorship program, has starred icons such as Johnny Marr from The Smiths and Richie Hawtin.

The first tracks by DJ Carpenter, Kerstin Ljungström, and Adam Taal premiered on the "re/works by Epidemic Sound" launch event at Soho House in Stockholm on February 12. Kerstin Ljungström has reworked tracks by Epidemic Sound artists bonsaye, Ten Towers and Ryan James Carr, Adam Taal has reworked tracks by LeDorean, Zorro, and Vicki Vox and DJ Carpenter with Ooyy, dyalla and baegel. Today, February 13, the first tracks will be available in Epidemic Sound's player for the global community of creators and brands to use, and across all major music streaming platforms.

Throughout 2026, new tracks will be released by artists including Kleerup, Silvana Imam, Dan Lissvik, Jenny Wilson, Stella Explorer, and Harrison First.
