Epidemic Sound launches third Extra Version release with South Korean artist jeonghyeon

Seoul, South Korea, August 22, 2025 – Epidemic Sound, the world’s leading music company for the creator economy, today unveils the third release from its genre-spanning Extra Version program - this time featuring one of South Korea’s most exciting young producers and DJ, jeonghyeon. The new release is a bold reinterpretation of a fan-favorite track, “Let’s Talk About Your Ex”, originally composed by Swedish artists Mindme and Hallman.

The Extra Version program was launched to spotlight global musical talent, breathe new life into standout tracks from Epidemic Sound’s catalog, and provide creators and brands with exclusive, world-class music. Following previous releases by international icons Honey Dijon and Major Lazer founding member Switch, this new remix continues to push boundaries -  connecting global creators, fans, and artists through new types of collaborations.

jeonghyeon has already garnered support from some of the biggest names in electronic music - including Martin Garrix, David Guetta, and Lucas & Steve - and has released tracks through labels such as Spinnin’ Records, Musical Freedom, Hexagon, and Armada. His Extra Version remix infuses the original with crisp electronic textures, a refined pop sensibility, and the forward-looking production style that’s helped him build a loyal fanbase across Asia and beyond.

“Once I received the stems for the remix, inspiration struck right away and I started creating melodies that felt really special.”, said jeonghyeon. “It’s always a pleasure working with the Epidemic team, and I’m grateful for the opportunity. I hope everyone enjoys this remix as much as I enjoyed making it, it’s definitely one of my favorite remixes so far!”

The source material comes from Swedish vocalist and songwriter Mindme, known for her emotionally rich alternative pop sound, and producer Hallman, whose atmospheric, melody-driven tracks have earned him over 160 million streams on Spotify alone.

“The Extra Version series is all about expanding musical storytelling and building a new cultural phenomenon,” said Oscar Höglund, CEO and co-founder of Epidemic Sound. “jeonghyeon’s reinterpretation of this track is proof of how a new perspective can elevate great music even further - making it not just powerful for listeners, but for the global creators and brands who use our music every day.”

Following the success of previous Extra Version releases - including Switch’s gritty club-ready flip of “Kali Kush” and Honey Dijon’s globally resonant remix of “Umbélé” (which has already racked up over 271 million plays across YouTube and TikTok and received airplay on BBC Radio 1’s Club Mix) - jeonghyeon’s entry marks a new chapter in the program’s evolution.

Now available on all major streaming platforms and within Epidemic Sound’s catalog, the remix is fully licensable for content creators, podcasts, ads, and more - opening up new sonic possibilities across platforms.
