London, United Kingdom – Epidemic Sound, the soundtracking platform for content creation, and Take More Photos, the community-led platform, are proud to introduce the immersive exhibition, 'Culture Vanguards', at Outernet London.
The 'Culture Vanguards' exhibition celebrates the exceptional talents who have shaped and revolutionised their respective creative industries – spanning fashion, music, film & photography, and art & design. The exhibition features the four creative visionaries Samuel Ross MBE, Bianca Saunders, Rapman, and Ronan McKenzie, and brings to life the stories, struggles, and triumphs behind their journeys of becoming the culture vanguards of their generation.
In an exciting partnership, Epidemic Sound and Take More Photos have teamed up with Outernet London and global media agency Mediahub to mount the exhibition in the immersive, unique space of Outernet's iconic The Now Building. The installation spanning 23,000 sq ft showcases the vanguards' stories in various creative video and photography formats, with bespoke soundscapes tailored to each individual story, creating an immersive experience of sound and imagery allowing audiences to immerse themselves fully in the artists' stories and words. The exhibition is a testament to how great creative concepts and content, paired with the right sound, can truly bring a story to life.
"Being included as part of the 'Culture Vanguards' and celebrated alongside other Black British talent is an incredible honour. Visibility is so important because it shows the next generation that they can achieve anything they set their minds to. It's vital for young creatives to see people who look like them breaking barriers, creating new narratives, and being celebrated for their work. This recognition means a lot, not just for me, but for the broader movement toward greater representation in fashion and the arts. Starting my brand is what I wanted to do and also let people know anything is possible in any industry," says Bianca Saunders, renowned British fashion designer.
"'Culture Vanguards' is a pivotal project for us at Take More Photos and the creative community we represent. It honours the inspiring stories of industry pioneers – the giants on whose shoulders we stand – who paved the way for future creators. The exhibition aimed to create an immersive experience, showing that anything is possible through creativity and resilience. Epidemic Sound played a key role in enhancing this vision by providing immersive soundscapes that brought these stories to life," says Hassan Gazali, Founder of Take More Photos.
"At Epidemic Sound, we love to support great artists in bringing their stories and creative vision to life. The exhibition 'Culture Vanguards' is a celebration of the exceptional talents who have shaped and revolutionised the creative industries and we are proud to be part of it," says Rob Bullough, Global Brand Director at Epidemic Sound. "The exhibition beautifully showcases how the right soundtrack, paired with the right content, can truly bring a story to life."
Launching today, October 29th, the exhibition 'Culture Vanguards' will run for two months and is free to attend. The exhibition was developed in collaboration with Mediahub's Radical + Disruptive Lab, who played a pivotal role in shaping the concept alongside Outernet London's Creative Studio.
"We were thrilled to bring Epidemic Sound's powerful platform to life through a creative media partnership. By pairing their exceptional sound offering with the visual brilliance of Take More Photos, we've crafted a standout campaign to showcase on the unparalleled canvas of Outernet", says Saj Nazir, SVP of Media Creativity at Mediahub.
Aside from the exhibition itself, there is also an OOH element to the campaign, with a 30-second pre-roll video produced by Outernet's Creative Studio that precedes each Culture Vanguard segment, along with an OOH display featuring the exhibition running at the Now Visa screens overlooking Tottenham Court Road.
"As the UK's number one cultural destination, we are so proud to be partnering with Take More Photos, Epidemic Sound, and Mediahub to bring the 'Culture Vanguards' exhibition to our audiences. This collaboration exemplifies the kind of exceptional storytelling possible on our platform and the work we are most passionate about, amplifying the voices of this generation's creative innovators," says Alexandra Payne, Creative Director at Outernet London.
